Exhaust setup for and LX?

i had an lx to ex exhaust conversion on my car, but i was driving without a front sway bar, so i took that off. i was wondering, how could i put an exhaust on my car? does anyone know of any good brands that make an exhaust for an lx? and how could i keep it rather quiet? if i keep the stock resonator on there will it be quieter?

I think i've talked to you about this before but the topic went way off about me and some tard wanting to be cool. LoL

Anyways....I have the Kamikaze Header, Tanabe Extension Pipe, and Apex-i N1 Exhaust. Sounds LOUD!!!!!!!

the magnaflow exhaust system with stock header is quiet as hell, that's what i have. but i threw in the kamikaze header and its louder now only problem with the magnaflow exhaust is the muffler and midpipe, it always scraped on things...even at stock height

yeah, its for the LX, that's the only reason i got it, i didnt feel like getting adapters for 100 bucks to get EX exhausts. direct fit, just remember that ify ou're gonna DIY, make sure to get welded up too, and by a good shop. The shop that put it on and welded it did a horrible job, i had the biggest exhaust leak for the longest time, but finally got around to taking it to my buddy to get it fixed

I believe thermal makes a good catback exhaust. Derek (site owner) had one installed on his LX a long time ago. Maybe you can PM him and ask.

just get something done custom, it is cheaper and does the same thing as every other exhaust.

I also have a magnaflow catback and it fits great. I rarely scrape since I had it welded and adjusted by a local shop.

He did, but I believe he has something else now. I have the Thermal and it is very quiet.. That is, until you get on it, but even still it isn't loud.. I'm working on getting a sound clip posted..

heres an idea i had. what if i did have a muffler shop do the work? i could get an aftermarket muffler, and from the outside it would look practically stock. what size piping should i get if i do this? and about how much would it cost?

For a complete custom exhaust? Depends on the shop actually.. Normally a catback will run you between $350+ so I would assume a completely custom exhaust would hover that area..

Its much cheaper if u get custom piping. I got mys done for $90. My whole exhaust setup costed $190. 2.25 piping from the header to my bomz muffler. But its loud as hell. I have no cat or resonator.

My boss and I installed a custom stainless steel exhaust on my 02 lx. Cost him around $80 for 2 1/2 in dia. pipe in a 10 foot pole. We used all of that plus another 3 feet. Then used stainless steel clamps and rods to hold it in place. Total cost of parts around 150...and about 3 hours to get it perfect.
