My auto max at 185kmh/120mph. Tacho shows 4k rpm. There's no sign of bogging but it wouldn't go beyond 185 and 4k.
Travels alone. Straight flat road. No mods. A/C on.

I think there's a speed limiter.
Without it, I still have 2k+ rpm to play with, which should be enough to take me to 200kmh.

Re: HKS Speed Limit Defencer (Speed Governer Bypass)
Quote: Yeah. . I thought everyone knew the EXs don't have a limiter, and the lower models all do. I haven't taken my car past like 110, because I know that it's not gonna go much more than that anyways and it's just not safe to do that. The limiter is all computer controlled, there isn't anything that you can simply remove, like on older cars. You can have the ECU flashed. As for this HKS thing, I have no idea. Would be cool if it did work though.
I had my ex at 190 km/h at 4500 rpm still had pull but the honda site says there governed at 185km/h .... Running cold air intake full exhaust system ,17' rims,Performance chip and short shifter

Re: HKS Speed Limit Defencer (Speed Governer Bypass)
OUR 7TH GEN CIVICS DO NOT HAVE A SPEED GOVERNOR.

our em2 runs out of gear before we hit 130.

its not due to a speed governor. its something else. do u have an LX? ur gearing is a bit different.

you shouldnt be going 115 anyways.

Re: HKS Speed Limit Defencer (Speed Governer Bypass)
Dx/lx have longer gears than an ex. I have gone 135 in my civic though.. That was bouncing off the rev limiter.. Gps system and speedometer both read ~135 at the time.

Yea, that did happen when I was a lot younger..

I really haven't broken 90 in the last 5 years, and only that fast because that was the flow of traffic driving I-5 North to my mom's house
