Help for the poor folk!
Help for the poor folk!
I was wondering if there is anything else other than a cold air intake, and muffler that you can do to you car that is nothing major to make more hp. I bought an a'pexi muffler off my buddy for 30 bucks that was brand new and took it to the muffler place in town. I had them make me a 2 1/2 cat back system because it was cheaper for them to custom make me one then to buy one off the internet. But now it looks like there isn't much more i can do before you start swapping heads and crap. Let me know something guys. Thanks a lot

you probably only got like 3hp outa that, any ways hp costs money and you wont see any gains from the cheep stuff. i/h/e is maybe 10 hp? so if you want to make your car fast or look good its all going to cost you money bro

Sometimes I think riding my bike is faster than driving my civic. Then other times, people on bikes actually go faster than me in my civic.

^^^ i know wha you mean
your right there isn't. the next step might be a throttle body. But thats probabaly gonna be as much as your exhaust system.
Bascially you have now reached the point where you gotta save up alot more $$ for parts that will give you a noticible horsepower gain.

Better to tune something that will actually give you gains... like Suspension. "If you dont have to slow down for the corners, you wont need Hp to accelerate afterwards."
and it can be done relitivly cheeply.
and it can be done relitivly cheeply. NEW TIRES!!! single most cost effective upgrade to your car. I would suggest Falken Ziex ZE-512's; you can get a set of tires to replace your Firestones for like $175, and they're really good quality tires.
hear here, I second the tires recommendation.
You will get more performance out of good grippy tires than ANY mod will give you. And even if you put some Yoko AVS ES100s or Kumho Ecsta 712s on your stock rims, youd still have more performance than anyone who had intake, header, exhaust combos with normal tires.
Or you can do like some of us do, get some UHP tires on some nice wheels and put some super sticky track tires on your stock rims for glued-t-the-road driving on the track.
