i've had mine for awhile...the exhaust doesnt smell like rotten eggs just a bit stinkier...but not stinky enough to get people going "eww man that car stinks"

but then again i get to ride on the back of a diesel truck all day smelling it's fumes...my sense of stink may be a bit off lol

The Megan Racing Header gave my car a stinky sound. The Megan Racing hi flow, resonator, wuchamacallit gave my car a better sound, and noticable top end power. I read exhaust systems have to break in and I believe this because I could only tell the sound difference right away. My CEL didn't come on for the first couple of months that I've had it, but now my CEL toggles on and off now. What's up with that!?

Stick your nose down at the muffler and sniff the exhaust for about 3 minutes. If you post again then it has a cat, if you dont post, we'll assume you died, and it is just a resonator. Debate over

^^^lol, funny ****. i just installed mine as well. along with the dc sports header and dc sports exhaust. smells alittle like the exhaust did when it was breaking in, but that smell should go away. it is defianlly not a cat, it is a resonator. much louder sound. better top end performance. my CEL came on right away. sucks!

tight man. sounds like it was a good investment. i think i am going ot get the obx header w/o a cat for the lx. has anyone installed an o2 sim yet? where did you get it? how hard was it to install?

i bout the megan racing downpipe hig flow cat/ resonater or whatever for 100 bucks off ebay. i already have a smaller resonater on my cat-back exhaust. so now i will have 2 resonators? should i take of the one from the midpipe? will it pass smog after that?

i havent installed my megan highflowcat yet but when i do im guessing that the CEL will come on. is there any way to get rid of it without having to get an o2 sim?

Someone should POST warnings to cali residents that any tampering with the cat before 50k miles or adding a non carb tested product means you have failed SMOG

is the 02 sensor on the cat going to be able to reach the hole on the bottom near the cat. i got under it yesterday and looks like ill be about an inch short. is there someting i can do to make it longer. i already unhooked the 2 little clips making it a staight line and i still dont think it will fit. how did you guys get it to fit?

all i did was just VERY CAREFULLY pull the wire out of the plastic harness that holds it against the chassis. the wire is still a bit long, but there's not so much slack that it could scrape against the ground. try that.

I got that from Top Speed. It's no different than HP's. Neither company actually produces the part, they just put their badge on it.

Which is nothing but "HP" Racing's shorty 4-1 header.

The downpipe/cat is the same a Megan Racing's. Even Focuz has put their name on the same part. I wouldn't be surprised if all of these parts were manufactured by the original no name company.
