ACT HC5-XT00 clutch?
Anyone installed the ACT HC5-XT00 clutch kit? torque spec 270 ft/lbs pressure increase 100%
just wondering if it is overkill or not for a 150-160 hp 110-130 ft/lbs car. im not planning to go over 200 hp and at that point only be pulling probly 150-170 ft/lbs and thats if i ever get the money to turbo = (
my stock clutch feels like rubber now it sucks and i know its gona burn any day now.
anyone?

I have the HD-SS on my car now, and if you are going to go turbo eventually I would get the XT pressure plate, but I would go with a better clutch disk than the OO disk, probably should go with the SS disk. Stay away from 4 or 6 pucks as you really won't need them and they are hell to try and street all the time.
To sum it up i'd go with the XT-SS....

I like it, I have the street-lite flywheel as well. The engagement is a bit rough and there is some clutch chatter if you are really letting it out at slow speeds (like stop and go traffic) but all in all I think it was worth it simply from the feel of the clutch and the increase in responsiveness from the flywheel.
The heavier duty pressure plate will come in handy with the added abuse of a turbo, but I would imagine the HD pressure plate would be enough.... you could always e-mail ACT, they have really good customer service
