Rep Power: 0 Megan Racing Cat Back?
Has anyone bought and used the Megan Racing Cat-Back System? If so how does it sound? Did it fit right? Make any funny noises? How do you or how did you like it?

Rep Power: 0 Why does everyone knock Megan Racing??? I don't get it. People who knock it don't have any products from the company in the first place, and for some reason they just don't like it because it sounds like Mugen. They think that it is generic just because it is on ebay too. AEM is on ebay, so is that generic?? Everything is on ebay for crying out loud!!! The owner of this performance store where I buy from is good freinds with the owner of Megan Racing. He has almost every Megan Racing product on his car since 3 years ago, and he says he has had no problems. I'm sorry if it sounds like I'm comming off like a **** but I just get sick of reading people bash Megan Racing. Please tell me how horrible the company is after you put some Megan Racing products on your car.

Rep Power: 0 I have the megan racing catback. It sounds nice not to loud not to quiet. The quality is very nice, The only problem with it doesnt fit 100%Its more like 95%. The bends are a little off and it rubs on my heat shield. But what do you expect for a catback under 300 dollars.

Rep Power: 0 I appreciate no more bashing of Megan Racing after my post. Soon I'll have the Megan Racing hi flo cat and to go with my Megan ceramic header. My exhaust system will be complete.

Rep Power: 0 so is 2.25 bettet than 2.5 ? i have hp racing catback and it feels damn good, i dont have downpipe thought but i have a cold air intake and when i just use the 1 peice of pipe as a short ram car feels much better and pulls to 130mph much easier.
i have a question is the hp racing chrome 4-1 header better than the hp racing other material header ? i think its ceramic or stainless steel, they both look the same just different material

Rep Power: 0 2.25 is better than 2.5 because 2.5 is too big for our cars; you will lose too much low end torque. You might gain in the high end a little bit over 2.25, but the low end losses would far outweigh them. The 2 HP headers are the 4-1 and the 4-2-1 shorty (or vice versa; one's shorty and one's not). The shorty allows you to use the existing catalytic converter (on ex's) and downpipe; the other one replaces header, downpipe, and cat.

Rep Power: 0 oh. Chrome and ceramic coated? chrome looks better, but the ceramic coating acts as a heat barrier. If you want performance, get ceramic. If you want looks, get chrome. Sorry about that other rant...

Rep Power: 0 That looks pretty nice... I've seen some Megan mufflers that are just ugly though. They have this silencer that has swirly lines in them... But there have been quite a few people buying their products, so I guess they're alright.

Rep Power: 0 I went to this Muffler Shop where most people I know get there piping done, etc. I told them that I would be getting the hi flo on monday so they told me to bring it in and they'll install it the same day. I was telling him maybe he could use something like a flange to put on the custom piping to bolt it to the hi flow. But I'll probablly just keep the custom piping and just weld it to the hi flow.

Rep Power: 0 Yes I also heard that 2.25 is the best for your cars. There was even a book that I found and it had the best custom piping sizes for various honda engines listed from 1.5 to 3.0 size engines and 2.25 was the best for the 1.6. 2.50 was listed for 1.8' but they are DOHC engines, so I just went with 2.25. I felt that I lost low end power from from the muffler and piping. I even lost some from the CAI. But I got it all back at the top end. With the Megan Racing 4-1 Header I didn't lose low end power though, it even seemed to gain a little low end, and gain more and more throughout the RPM range. I hope I can get the same kinda gains with the hi flow cat as to with the Header.

Rep Power: 0 I just bought the megan racing cat back and i love it. it sounds nice, isnt to loud and reall looks nice. the only complaint is i wish it was a little smaller tip. The size of the piping hasent made a huge diffrence to me. I just need to get the header and down pipe now then ill be set.
