do these pullies under/over drive the crank or are they the same diameter. also if they can be used with stock pullies (and i thing i saw belts mentioned also) could you use the AEM a/c and p/s pullies with the dh crank pulley. and last but centainly not lease i want to know for sure that there is no adverse affects to engine life (because realy is 10 ponies worth you motor life being cut in half???)

you can find em for $350 sometimes...... no adverse effects.. read the story on unorthodox racings website if you cant understand why, we have a lil ol' 1.7L sohc motor.. our motor is balanced internally, so harmonic balancer, thats where the motor trouble comes with with pulleys....

So what exactly do we need to buy other than the pulley? Belts, etc? Also, can any shop install this thing? I don't have the tools to do it myself.
As far as I've read, the crank pulley shouldn't cause any damage to the engine, and it should in fact be better for the engine because it is causing less strain.
Something 6lbs takes a lot much umpf to move than something 12oz.

Alright, so this sounds like an awesome mod, but let me just get this straight...we have to buy the pulley for 180, and on my lil LX I will get 10-15 hp(its N/A), and its as easy as changing a pulley? Sounds too good to be true, but I think I may go for it.

no real part number for alt belt, just get one right around 27.5" around, 3 rib..... EASY to find, just go to part store and tell them that size and 3 rib..... like $6... for the alternator belt just measure with a string what you need and run to the part store and buy...... cant let little stuff hold you back from being FAST..... i had no idea what size to use, just went from the hip, know what i mean?

its not that hard. you just have to go thru the left side wheel well and take off the splash guards( a few clips. the hardest thing would be to break the pulley bolt loose.
i need some part numbers and/or belt sizes so that i can get the whole thing.. i know i'm gonna order it and not the belts and have the thing sit around for a year if i don't order everything at once... if we can get some concrete part numbers for belts, then i'm sure more people would feel more comfortable buying them..

I'm worried about the belts, but also about who will install it. So far I haven't been able to find any place around here that does stuff like this. I have that same fear about buying it and then just having it sit around.

i know that this is a problem with installing a header on your own, which is breaking the bolt .... is there a possibility of doing so on the pulley bolt, since so much pressure needs to be applied to take it out?
