Helix Power Tower

Does anyone out there have the Helix Power Tower Throttle Body Spacer? I bought one yesterday and its a really cool addition. Not exactly sure what the power gain is but u can feel a difference. Plus it makes a cool whistle noise when u open the throttle.

um, well those tracks are down here in charleston so they are about an hour and a half away from you. I'm not sure of what dyno shops are up in Myrtle Beach, there are a couple down here.

Yes, we need more people to install and test these and actually report back, unlike some people.

Anyway, I think it will make a K&N FIPK hit the hood and not be able to close, but if anyone knows for sure please post here cuz I'm very interested in this part.

Can you post pics of it with your AEM V2? Thanks.

Does it just touch the hood? Or are you not even able to close it all the way? I wonder if there's any way to fix it.

So I guess the stock intake is fine with this. And is that whistle sound pretty loud? I don't want my car sounding like rice. Does anyone have a sound clip or something. And still waiting for results on real gains.

no sound clip, but the "whistle" is more of a "cherp," and it only happens when there is alot of pressure, and only hear it for about 1/3 of a second. yoou hear it when the throttle is mashed hard....

you could trim some of the rubber grommet that holds the intake pipe to the throtthe body.
that will give you the clearence you need.
with the FIPK, you can do the same, or you can shave some of that plastic down.

this spacer can fit with any intake with some small shaving on the pipe, or the grommet.

I don't think it would be a "small" shave. The FIPK almost hits the hood as it is. If it were raised an inch I would have to shave down about an inch of something.

To fix my clearance problem i used some tin snips and cut away the section that was rubbing my intake. Now it fits just fine.

you cut a hole in your hood? sweet. that's what i'd do.(i was going to buy one of those "curvy" intakes, just to do that)

i think it would look good, and cool that pipe some more....

I didnt cut the hood itself. I cut a section of the skeleton underneath the hood.

I dont think it hurt the structural integrity at all. It was just a small cut. I'm not sure what i'll do if i geta cf hood though.
