K20/D17 Motor Builds Available

Hey we at Dh-Racing are now offering full build on all new gen Honda/Acura Motors. We offer just about anything you could want to do whether it be Naturally Aspirated or Turbo (We work in conjunction with Stafford Fabrications). With 13 years into the Honda/Acura business we know the right way to build it up. Let us know anything you want to do with your setup, and ask Mike from Stafford's shop if you want to know about our work, we are building quite a few motors for them, and have ported Mike's head which made a huge difference in his times. Thanks everyone.

What's up Josh?? I'm still planning on having you guys regrind my cam...I just have to find another car until I get the cam back...Oh, I want to get my throttle body bored out, because I just ordered one from Majectic Honda which I'll be sending you. How big of a bore should I go with 64mm, 68 mm or 70 mm?

You really want to have it bored out? I thought you would have just gone with the bilet. I will go the max I can on it? What about your manifold though wouldn't you like it to be port mathched for optimum performance. Let me know man. Thanks

Do you do discounts for massive purchases?

Lets say I get a PnP, valve springs, titanium valve retainers, new valves, 10.8:1 pistons, new throttle body and a lightened flywheel there. Thats a lot of $. Would you be able to offer some sort of discount if I did it all at once? And this won't be in the near future; hopefully late next summer. From what I hear, you make really good quality stuff. Thanks.

Oh, I thought you had to send in your core to get it bored...I didn't know you had them to sell without core. As for the manifold, when will you guys be releasing the one you developed? I have a custom intake manifold, but I haven't had the chance to dyno tune my cam gear and VAFC II so I don't know if the manifold I have is going to give any gains...Should I send in my stock Intake Manifold to be ported??? What kind of gains could I expect from the ported manifold and throttle body? What would be the price??

Wow, went to the NHRA event today, wow all I can say. 6 Second passes and all. Anyways, I would suggets a billet throttle body it will help and give the gains when used with any type of upgraded manifold. Head porting is $750 with a core... Comes with high flow polished valves, polished combustion chambers, resurfaced for perfect seal. I am being told I cannot sell on here until I pay for it, but rest assure 7th Gen I will be paying for it as soon as my paypal funds clear so don't take this as me ignoring you. Anyways, I hope I didn't miss any questions. Email me if you like to get it on a more detailed level. Thanks all

The retainers, and springs are just going to boost revving. The cam will give good gains, but I would suggest manifold and throttle body work, and head porting first.

How much would it be if I had my whole motor ported, etc, and have the SF turbo added with it?? Also how long would it take for it to be done. Also for the K20 motor can you guys install or do you just offer it for sale???

I dont offer installs, being where we are doesn't allow us to work on vehicles. I can port your head for $750, and build the bottom end if you like. If you send me a D17 it would be $3700 built with forged pistons, eagle rods, block guard, all new engine bearings, and our full race ported head. It would be able to handle 400-450 HP at the wheels, so with SF's kit you would have the ability to push low 11's if not 10's with it. ON THE CAM REGRIND. $350 for the cam to be done, and it will be a nice turbo cam, setup for your motor.

There isn't 2 different profiles available for the regrind? Like, one for turbo engines and one for naturally aspirated? The regrind is good for both types?

The K20a engine swap, is that a real K20A 2002+ JDM Integra Type R engine swap? Or is it a K20A2 or K20A3?

Besides the engine what is included? Meaning A/T or M/T transmission? ECU? Axles? Just to give me an idea of what is still needed if I bought this engine.

Good question. I would also like to know the answer to that. And if I was to get a P&P job for a turbo setup before getting my turbo would it be ok to leave it like that before a turbo?

Yeah it will be fine of course just think of less compression means less power, but it wont hurt the motors. Just run NA headers, ect.... If you got the ported head then it will still kick hard, and have a lot of power, but once the turbo is added LOOK OUT.

I have the Forced Induction portwork on my head, and right now i have no turbo. i am using the stock ex header and a short ram intake. I have raced cars with intake/header/exhaust and beaten them. I can feel that if you combine this with a good header and good intake, it will feel like a whole new car. It already does with the sotck header on there.

I did drive the car for about a week with boost (before i decided to upgrade the turbo system), and it felt incredible. I ran a 14.5 on 5 psi of boost. Thats almost a half second faster than 5 psi without the head work!
