K20/D17 Motor Builds Available
i guess my question is: can I order a camshaft regrind and valvetrain, then a month later come over to SF's place and have it installed (or DH; as of now it's irrelevent)? Also, how long would install take?

sorry but still need an answer to this one.
I am sure you guys stand behind your work, but I just have to ask.
One more thing... what kind of life should I expect from a reground cam?

What are the best things to buy first, if we wish to have a reliable street legal car in cali? and about how much would it run for each part?

Reground cams will last about 3/4 the lift of a billet cam. You will end up getting a new setup before it wears.
I would first get a custom intake manifold and throttle body ($750) to start, then I would move to lightened flywhee ($300 with clutch)l, and 6 puck clutch. Next work your way to a ported head ($750)

Are the intake manifolds faced to the side right? not striaght up? because I am planning on getting sf turbo kit, is there a turbo work for that intake manifold? or different polishes you offer for it?
I think its worth getting because to make sure I've talked to several people on this sight that have the SF turbo and they say its the best thing thats ever happen to them and they are all happy with it except one guy because he was pushing his stock car way too much and messed up a rod, I mean boosting very high and always pushing it all the time, you can only do that if you have some internal work done to your car

Hey Josh, I am just starting to look into upgrading my 02 LX, I was wondering what kind of gains I would be looking at with a matched intake and throttle body. Also what kind of prices am I looking at for this. Secondly, on your site you have a lightened crank pulley, I was wondering if you had an option that didnt bypass AC and PS, also, whats the price on this? Thanks for your help.

Ok I got to clear something up. We have found that with NA setups the best thing you can do is bore your stock throttle body and leave the manifold until we come out with our Space Age Manifold to go with your throttle body. Sorry about the hype, but for turbo setups our manifold will definately beat the stock setup. For building your setups, I suggest the pulley, ported head, cam, pistons for whichever route you are going on, and clutch flywheel, and pressure plate mods. We have the two groove pulley for $185 shipped, but check the group buy I am about to post. Thanks
so if i want to spend the $3500 to get everything for my engine i need for a turbo settup, i have to send all the parts to you at my expense? how does this work? are the prices on the web site listed w/ or w/o shipping costs? also since i would want everything done at once is there some discount for getting all the parts? thanks!
josh,
how much for the lightened flywheel + clutch? and is it a new flywheel? or do you guys just lighten the stock flywheel? if its new, are they both manufactured by you guys (dhracing)?
thnx

I only sell the engine, and you have to deal with everything like mounts and all. The flywheels are not new, but there is all fresh material on it, and a good ring gear and teeth. I would give you the clutch and flywheel for $350 shipped.
I can give you a deal if you do a lot at once. Sorry I dont come to this thread much, so bear with me.

thanks josh... $350 for clutch and flywheel is a pretty good price to me already. This is the same flywheel that you're sellin in the GB section? and lastly, what are the specs on the clutch (the clutch gotta be new right?)?

Hehe yeah it's new I don't sell used clutches!! heh. It is a 6 puck clutch, carbonic, very nice. Same flywheel as in the GB section yes. Let me know. Thanks I can have it out in less then a week for you.
isn't a 6 puck clutch mainly used for racing?? I'm looking for a comfortable and "streetable" clutch...Can you expalin in a little more detail about the dh 6 puck clutch??? I would like to know how it feels when putting presure on it and how it engages into the next gear and so on

The K20 should drop right in with the proper mounts. The 6 puck clutch is used for any application, but like getting used to no AC AND PS it takes a little getting used to itself. It rips each gear, and is firmer on the pedal then stock.
Are you asking how much for the engine and trans for the K20 nothing else? Let me know

I get them from the junkyard, customers who trade them in, whatever it takes. We use them on our personal cars, ect... They all have fresh material being everything old is shaved, and they are perfectly balanced at the same time, and we ensure they have a perfect ring gear for brand new lasting life. There is really nothing used about it. They last forever and hold up just like stock with stock reliability. Bring the questions on, that's what I am here for.
