all automatics have torque conveters.. they are the little donut in the automatic transmission.. you can get an aftermarket one built to your specs...

I believe torque converters are only for auto trannies. MT's need a new clutch and flywheel. You can also get an LSD for more traction. MT's have no need for torque converters (at least that i my understanding).

That isn't what you asked. And you do not have to take the transmission out to install the clutch and flywheel. A torque converter will be more expensive to install.

still, no one seems to understand the question... damn typing...
I would want a torque converter on a different car, not my current car that is a 5 speed. again, on a different car. not my current car that is a 5 speed. so can you get them for any car? like maybe even a minivan or suv or somthing??? prehaps just a accord. just any car that is an auto, can you get a torque converter???

yes u can. u jsut hafta find someone who'll make it for you with wutever settings u want.
theres one out for our car, by JMO performance or sumthin like that, and i think the way they work is u take out ur stock torque converter, ship it over, theyre modify it, ship it back, and u put it back in. cost around $1k i think? not sure
i think u can also just buy the whole damn thing from them, but itll cost a lot more.

He just wants to know if you can get them for other cars!!! AHHHHHH. It is like any other performance part, it has to be made by a company or custom made if you can't find it.
