Hrm. . I don't use it, don't know of anyone who does. In fact. . until now. . I didn't even know it existed.
. Anyways. . I dunno. It might help, but probably not too much in our cars. Our ECU will be playing Jesus. . and you know what Jesus says.

I got it from fed EX this morning from Circa-X. I am going to drive it right now the weird part was i had to cut off the clip that held the air sensor bunched up to have it fit my intake.

Dude seriously, I'm anxious to hear your results!!!
Crew Chief, it adds 1" to the throttle body which supposedly creates more torque and hp.

So it is a throttle body spacer. Why don't they just call it that. I have been looking for that for a while. I have a friend that has a four cyl. ford ranger. He has one and you can feel the difference. More low end torque. Not anything to call your mom about but you could notice the difference.

CrewChief, I think it's got a special name because they put a special helix-shaped pattern or something in it that makes the air spin or something, supposedly giving more power. Perhaps a gimic, perhaps something awesome.

ImportRacer2123, you've been on your test drive for a long time now. So, either it must be really awesome and you're out there ripping it up, or it really sucks and your car broke and now you're stranded somewhere and that's why you haven't posted yet
Or maybe you're just eating dinner or something and haven't gotten back to it yet.

It doesn't do a thing man. My brother has it on his 6th gen Civic. I don't know about Civics, but I know that on a dyno for a Corvette, it causes a loss up horsepower but a gain of 1 lb torque. If it doesn't work on a Vette, chances are it's not going to work on any car. Gives like 1 inch more space. Like that is going to do anything.

Dude, no offence, but why would you want it to sound like a turbo when there is no turbo? That's like having a fake hood scoop

Probably for the same reason we buy exhaust and intakes. I think the primary reason people buy these things is for sound. Its sure as hell not for speed, and if you think it is you're only kidding yourself.
Well, some people actually care about performance. Obviously adding an intake and exhaust won't let us out-drag a Viper or Supra, but if it lets me beat the ricer next to me with dual exhausts on his 4 cylinder engine because it "sounds cool," then that's awesome.
IMO, and I'm not trying to talk **** here, I just think that making your car sound like it has a turbo when it actually doesn't would make you look like a ricer who's trying to make people think he has a turbo.
If you want to add mods strictly for their sound purpose, that's cool. After all, modding your car is all about what YOU think is cool. If every day you like your car better than the day before, that's great.
But personally, if it doesn't make me accelerate faster, corner better, or stop faster, it's not going on my car.
Peace.

i agree with ironfist...its kinda sad if you are just doing the mods for the sound...if some dumbass kid races you with his lil neon because he thinks you have a turbo on your car and you lose......thatz gonna b prettyyyyyyyyyy embarrasing
