Hmm. I'm curious what this looks like in the engine bay. Can you post a picture of the helix on your ride? I'm not quite sure if the helix is logical in giving more horse. I would think that adding a longer path to the engine intake would make the engine work harder to intake the air. Anyways, if anyone has thoughts on the logic of the helix plz explain the logistics of this part. Sound posting would be nice just to hear if it sounds shitty.
Thanks!

Hmmm...

What other mods do you have?

You'll feel some difference. Not a whole lot, but enough for 85 bucks spent.

i think so, I just tor a new a$$ hole in a accord 2000 tonight..I think it made a big diff, my car is hella fast now, first and second gear wind out fast..by the time i hit 3rd I'm already pasing 80 mph and flying buy cars, i didnt have to buy the part but if i did this is one mod i would do..i didnt even have to use the NOS for this guy, right now i have

4 to 1 headers
exhaust
intake
helix
Nitrus Express....50 shot..

the amount of power i have now is increadable...i think i can keep up witht he big dogs now...if i could now just get ride of the revlimiter that would be cool...cuz i can only hit 123 and the fuel management cuts me off in fourt and fith... and i have circa x to thank....

KaZeLL said:
"and second gear wind out fast..by the time i hit 3rd I'm already pasing 80 mph and flying"

Wrong. Unless you've done work on your gear ratios, you're lying. My Auto runs out of 2nd gear at 64mph. You probably have a manual, and therefore have shorter gear ratios, and therefore your 2nd gear ends at less than 64mph. Therefore, you are NOT hitting 80 "by the time you hit 3rd."

If you have changed your gear ratios so that you are at 80 by the time you shift into third, you would be much slower than stock.

edit: maybe you meant you're hitting 80 in the middle of 3rd gear, but based on how you wrote it, it sounds like you meant as soon as you shift into 3rd you're hitting 80./edit

Unless I'm totally wrong, and adding throttle body space gives you longer gears, but that doesn't make sense since adding more air or whatever doesn't change mechanical gears.

"cuz i can only hit 123 and the fuel management cuts me off in fourt and fith... and i have circa x to thank...."

lease: I hope you're not driving like that on the highway.

I still say that the butt-o-mometer is not going to tell much from this 1-2" of aluminum. Only a true dyno will tell (which is what everyone has been waiting for for quite some time now). Why drop $85 if it pretty much does nothing......Just my opinion.

well..i havnt had any luck with the dyno ...but I'm down to let anyone test drive my car if they really want to buy one...and youll see for yourself..and no I'm not trying to plug anyone here..I didnt belive as well but now I'm a beliver, get behind the wheel of my ride and you will soon be one yourself, there is a difference...

makeing comments as such cwick187 only makes trouble for yourself, I hold a pretty good rep with the members of the forum, one thing i am is honest.....would you like to prove me wrong....

I can feel the diff or i wouldnt have posted...pluse I'm not affraid to try new things, thats how this industry got started, I'm willing to try anything and everything...and then whatch you follow my lead thats what makes me a leader and why customers keep coming back...for even more crazy'er things, just the other day I saw this stupid resistor crap on ebay that cost 15 buck and it's said to add 15 to 20 more horse power, what the hell I bought it ...you never know, if i put in and it makes a diff i'm sure will be finding you on ebay as well....lol

I've driven a Civic that had that tower. I notice nothing, nor do I hear anything. Kind of hard to hear over his flowmasters anyway. He's got exhaust, intake, helix tower, pulleys... I still pulled away from him with exhaust and intake.

jeez I hate it when kiddies try to prove seomeone else wrong over the internet. It's a bullshit argument vs another bullshit argument.

Kazell just pay for a damn dyno and prove these asses they're wrong. If you spent $85 on that thing, you should be able to spend on a dyno. Their egos only get bigger with every reply you make kazell. And lower your damn carbon fiber prices.

its funny, you bitch about the dude sending you the product for free for testing, then you say you can dyno it any time, then the lift is busted, now your doing a group run on the dyno, i think your just a lair imo, and i bet all 3 cars you raced were auto,

80 going into 3rd... hahaha... 3rd gear tops at about 90, Kazz...

as for this helix thingy working...

for some it will work and for others it won't.

you're better off getting a "tornado" and putting it DIRECTLY behind your air filter on an SRI or CAI...

what the products do is cause the air to swirl, this swirl in the AIR is alot like the twist of the DNA's dbl helix. if you've ever played with a model of it, you know that if you straighten it out, it gets longer.

forcing cyclic airflow causes the air to more densely fill the area it's in.

also, it can help atomization and the even distribution of fuel in air.

it's not a question of "does it work" but rather "how well does it work"

in theory, if you were to use a
CAI
a free-er-flowing exhaust,
you loaded up with mid or high grade fuel
your car was operating ABOVE sea level

and you installed both the tornado and the helix

you could see up to a 7% increase in thermodynamic efficency.

IOW, you COULD see 9hp, 8ft-lbs, or 2.5 mpg... under "controlled" test conditions.

will you feel more power? doubtfull. will you get better milage on the highway cruising around 70? zzzzyeah

ps. stuff like this came from cars with carbs on them... putting a spacer under the carb meant less heat hit the carb... meant the fuel was colder, meant you got more power... and if the air going in was spinning you'd get better atomization... it just doesn't do as much for a 4cyl.

Well, I decided to go to a local performance shop and buy the Helix today. I installed it in less than 10 min. I didn't notice, not one bit of a difference in power. In fact, I didn't notice a difference in the sound....Um, I guess I'll be taking it back unless someone wants to buy it...And it goes to show you how things can go to someones head...I hope this puts alot of things to rest. As far as the mods that I have: AEM CAI, HP racing header with high flow cat, DC TCS cat back, KMS Intake Manifold, pully,s, AEM Cam gear, Apexi VAFC. I still call :-bs: and I personally know the truth.
