Although the design is better than K&N because the air is isolated from the engine bay, on auto cars the inlet is located very near the tranny. So air will be hot to start. I'm probably going with the fipk.

another update
online store: We have the kits now ready to ship. We are finishing up the instructions. If ordered today the products should ship out tomorrow.
me: 100% sure it's in stock??? because i've been waiting for this intake for more than 6 months and volant answer always "it will be out in 3 weeks" for the past 6 months. IF you do have it in stock, how many do you have, i have at least 10 people who want to buy it for a GROUP BUY
online store: I will see if I can get 10 kits together. I will email you tomorrow to let you know for sure
.... i will post another update tommorow

So do you guys think this will work well with an auto? Cause the tranny is right below the intake inlet. I really want to try it out though, so I guess I'm still in.

Well a standard cold air intake goes down to the bumper, which is way too low imo. This thing has a tube that's about 1/2 length shorter.
