More information about the Volant CAI system Post if your interested in one
OK, well....I took matters into my own hands and called Volant this evening and asked them for the REAL reason why these intakes aren't being released. After about 10 minutes on hold i thought i was getting jerked around but he came back on and told me that they are waiting on different kinds of plastics that are part of the intake system for our cars. He said basically when they recieve that shipment, they will be complete. I told him it was fishy that there were group buys and no one knew what was going on. He said it will be about three weeks until they recieve the plastics. So we'll see if they're bullshiting or not and just sit tight...

well i just read like 3 months of posts and i still havent gotten ne more info then when this started. i still have some questions so if ne1 wants to help me out that would be great. 1. does this fit and auto? 2. will this outperform the weapon R intake? i hear the weapon R intake outperforms the other intakes for our cars. but ne info would be great!! and when the performance aspects of this intake r in and i providing i like them then im in!!
from the pic of this intake..i dont think u will be phucked by hydro locking..if im not wrong..
yeh im really curious if this is safe for our cars..i mean even if they went thru all tests, it will be something that just came out..
nobodys sure about how it fits how it works how it performs..
well..we are being testers..ha

i think they don't know how to run a business by listing it on their site, yet not having it available. i think they're gonna lose our business if they don't start getting their butts to work. this just makes me want to get teh FIPKII instead now.
You can put me down as a
for this group buy. I'm definitely interested in this, since I'm looking for an intake that actually increases power (as opposed to what i've read about AEM and Injen). Is there any ETA yet though? I'm not in a big rush since I probably won't install until spring, but it would be nice to have some kind of timeframe.

they are out no, but hella expensive. i just did a yahoo shopping search and the lowest costing one was $277 and the most expensive was around $300. i dont know if it is really worth that much for an intake that will probally be equal or so to the k&n.

it's a polyurathene intake, it's got an air filter box and cold air duct ... so it's doesn't svcks hot air ... all cold air ..
i know K&N made from polyurathene too, but it doesn't has the box for filter ... and also the price is almost the same

Yeah, any more news? And will this have that annoying intake sound like the rest? Hopefully not since it has an airbox. Eh, stock is better that the other intakes except maybe FIPK, but it's too noisy for me.
