generic intake off ebay?

Is this intake any good...?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=38634

I know its obviously a generic intake, but has anybody bought this one or one like it off ebay? Is there good success from these? I know not to actually expect the gains they say (5-12? yeah right) but I'm interested in getting a little more low end power. It doesn't have to be tons, but something that I can at least feel a difference in. I was thinking about getting this intake and then getting the denso iridium plugs and maybe headers? I don't know. Anyways, is this a good deal? or if I'm going to get an intake should I really stick to the name brands?

Thanks!

You could just get that generic intake for looks. Makes no difference between all Short Rams. Or you could invest in the K&N FIPK II... I don't know if it's for automatics, but it would be worth the money. Then again, since you have an automatic, you may not notice any power gain at all.

I bought this same Intake and I have an automatic I noticed a big difference no so much I would go racing on the street with it but I know how your feeling and I got what I wanted but at the same time you will have to get the Neuspeed or DC front sturt bar because it sits kind high.

Bolemite24, So you have that exact intake? Was it a good enough difference that you'd say its worth the money? If I'm not getting a strut bar would you recommend it? because I don't know if I'm getting a strut bar or not. Thanks!

AEM is powder coated to resist heat better. Those generic intakes arent good for anything. You will probalby lose hp off of it. You pay for the quality you get.

If your not looking for the sturt bar yeah it is worth I mean AEM and Injen are great but for an extra 70 dollars I don't know....Some say yes and some disagree but bottom line tube filter. I'm ge4tting the Turbo from stafford so Air intake isn't that big a deal anymore I was happy with that exact Intake

There are cops or inspectors who ride around and do roadside checkups, some members have even posted that they were stopped too.
If you **** a cop off enough, he can do the whole nine yards on you. ie: you get pulled over for going 5 mph over the limit supposedly, and try to defend yourself. All of a sudden you're fined for illegal tints, exhaust too noisy, cleared lights etc.

Most of those ebay intakes are just copies of the aem intakes. Other than how they are designed an intake is an intake.

Blah... I got a generic one and it didnt even have all the mounting parts needed. The brackets that are normally welded on to mount the thing weren't even on there. Find a used brand name one where you at least know what youre doin. But its your car.

Well, K&N took awhile to develop their intake, but supposedly it's well worth it. It may be a Short Ram, but at least it comes with a heat shield. Everyone who has it, loves it.
