This thread has been created so that people in this area can decide on a good spot to have the 7thgencivic.com Meet in San Francisco, CA. Just suggest a few places that would be fun to meet and decide on one place that everyone would like. You can also decide on a good date sometime in June or July for the meet.

We need someone (or two people) from each Meet to act as a "representative". This person will help with getting Hotel names and prices in the area. At least get a list of hotel names and maybe a phone number, that way the people that are interested can call and get the rates and availability themselves. Your help will be appreciated by all. hmmm... sounds like a good idea. Sometime in July is good 'cause I'm gonna be in Cancun towards the end of June As for where to have it... hmmm... I have absolutely no clue... LA sounds good, but there's a hella lot of traffic there.

Ill be there, its only about 18 hours away so its not to bad. Just make sure that wherever you decide to have it that it is in an easy location to find for people who know nothing about LA. Ive been through there but didnt stop. And I dont think that meeting on the same weekend as HIN is a good idea.

Why don't we meet at the Pamona Race Strip? it's easy to get to...easy to find...and right off the freeway. Then we can get together and race at the same time of we want. Just a thought I had.

I don't want to speak for the whole BayArea team But I know I'm down with coming down to LA for a west coast meet. I am very resourceful so if anyone needs help finding thing I cam probably help. I am not really familiar with LA so I couldn't really say where I think it should be, but I do think having it the same weekend as HIN is a bad Idea.

I don't want to make changes to plans that weren't made by me, But I have a suggestion. If we are holding it for the West I think having it in more of a central location would be more appropriate. If hella peeps are coming from say Seattle which I think they may. SF is 6 hours closer then LA. Like I said I don't mind driving. Just a suggestions!

I agree that it should be more of a central location, but if not then I will still make the drive.

I kinda agree... although it'd be a hassle to drive like 7-8 hours to get up there I agree it should be kinda central... I guess I could visit people I know up there if we do have it in SF. [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/IMG]

That's the kind of stuff we're looking for in this thread. If everyone would rather have the meet in San Francisco, then plans can be altered. But everyone has to agree on it. You make the decision.

June or July is good for me. Everybody could just check hotwire.com for hotel rates, I have found they are usually the cheapest. I wouldn't do it around HIN if I were doing it because it will just be too busy.

Lets do this in the Bay Area! Its a lot more central than LA, and I feel a lot more safe here than LA since its so huge!

There's also TONS of stuff to do here

Also, how long we gonna do the meet thing for? Like a day, two days, whats up?

We also gotta decide on what we gonna do. One thing that I thought was a good and fun thing to do is to have lunch/dinner somewhere, and then do a movie! We did this at our Bay Area BBQ meet, and it was great fun! Any other oppinions on what we could do?

Well so far the Bay Area is sounding nice. Let me tell you I can get the hook up on places to stay if it here in my town. lol. I am going to talk to the peeps from the Bay Area chapter and see what they think about being the host of the west coast meet. If we do it during the week Like Wednesday we can do 1/4 mile races out a Sears Point Raceway.

San Diego I wouldn't mind, but if it has to be the Bay, then so be it.

Its just too damn expensive up there, but oh well, I have family so a nice roadie is perfect.

I think the person that decides where it will be needs to realize that it is more then just a Cali meet and that there will be people coming from WA, OR, AR, and maybe even Canada. So just remember that it needs to be somewhat centralized for everyone.
