1st Annual 7thgencivic.com Meet (West)
I am down to roll with you on the route and map it out!! I was in San Bruno and drove down El Camino Real and it's going to definitly be the spot to cruise. It goes from about South San Francisco to San Mateo, it's real nice and lots of lanes so there are no worrys about traffic. As for the voting. PLEASE VOTE AGAIN for the people that havent, this is to deside the final day. I am going to try to get a group rate for a hotel thats not to expensive so everyone can stay at the same spot. For the people short on cash, if it means coming or not cause you dont have the money to stay some place you can stay at the 7thGevCivic club house!!! Thats my place. Well I know this thing is getting long but lets keep thing going and updated!

Okay, here is my dilemma. Im moving to western Montana in a month but I really want to go to this meet. Right now Im in AZ and it would a much easier drive. From northern AZ to Missoula is like a 20 hour drive so I dont even want to know what a Montana to San Fran drive would be. We'll see what happens so for now count me in.

>>yay!
lol... I'll see if I can convince more people down here to come up to the meet.
Where: Start: HIGH NOON, S.F.; Marina Green parking area. Then out to Ocean Beach. Then down to Half moon Bay via Hwy 1. Tentative End: AMC Mercado Parking Lot, or Mission College, Santa Clara.
Details: This is a mild get-together/cruise for local enthuisiasts to meet, shoot the breeze, talk cars, take pictures & videos, and do some laid-back cruising thru the City and down to the beach, then down to the South Bay for an early dinner.
Route:
-Starting Point is SF Marina Green.
-After lots of pics and after everyone shows up (45 min. to an hour), we head out on a massive cruise (obeying laws!) down the Marina towards the GG Bridge.
-We head up Doyle Drive (101 N-bridge approach) and exit for Park Presidio/ 19th Ave/ Hwy 1.
-Make a right on Geary and head all the way out to the beach and meet up again for more pics (half hour or so at beach).
Route from Ocean Beach:
-Head down the Great Highway to Highway 1.
-Enjoy the twisty drive down to Half Moon Bay, exit, take more pictures upon arrival.
-Take 92 West over to 280 S. to Santa Clara.
-Exit Stevens Creek/Lawrence Expy, go left/North on Lawrence Expy and meet up in AMC Mercado parking lot or Mission College parking lot.
It would be nice to meet up at Mercado because of the fact that there are a lot of people there, sorta like a mini- car show. If that isn't possible due to parking constraints, we will cross over to the Mission College parking lot and kick it there.
This is what we can do on saturday , then ya knoe there is always sunday we can kick too no point in having a meet for only one day cuz there other folks are comin a far way not juss to kick it for one day ya knoe?
so dass up to u guys

<< GREAT AMERICA!!!!!!!!!
(It's a theme park a la six flags.) >>
Good idea, Zell! Maybe the other BA 7th Gen crew (like JASON) will listen to ya and agree with you?
hopefully i have a job by then zell, then i'ma agree with your idea....AND ogf course Ryan's plan is very well thought out, except it sounds almost just like the Supra meet i went to couple of weeks ago....
Guys, guys, guys, We have 3 months before the meet. We all need to sit down and talk about it. We are not making any decision without everyone's OK. We're going to have 3 days to plan out so Im sure that we can fit a lot of stuff in. So we will start talking about it this weekend and start planning it!
This weekend sounds like a great opportunity since everyone will be there. So I say from this point on, get your ideas together! I like Ryan's idea.
It keeps the day on it's toes... but I'm kinda worried during that long drive, someone out of all the cars might have to pull over to take a ****... then what?
<< who the hell cares man good view and big parking lot who cares if it was a supra meeet or not its a plan
six flags? anit dat like 50 bones?
sumone make up their mind on sumthin >>
My idea was for another day, Ryan. Not over yours.
zell...ok that problem is inevitable...it happened to me and tony at the supra meet and we got separated form the group....a very big group like 50 cars is going to be SEPARATED no matter what....so here's the idea.....we need to have relay people in between the car line/s....meaning the bay area peeps (us hosts) need to be separate from each other throughout the total cars.....then, if someone in yer group has to pee or something, then just call up and tell other bay area f00s, and we'll see what's up....really hard to get around his problem though....

Even if every single person doesn't have one, it would be good for about 70% of the group to have a walkie talkie.
For 50 bucks, I bought a Motorola TalkAbout and I always keep it in my car. It's better than wasting cell phone minutes and you don't have to try to dial a number while you're driving. On the other hand, that could get kinda crazy with 50 people trying to talk on the same channel.
