Question Anyone here from the Seattle Area?

I'm seriously thinking about moving up to Seattle. Does anyone on 7th gen live in the area and can give me some suggestions on where to look for a FT job, housing, and if possible grad schools. I finished school in CA and am pursuing a marketing major.

You might be asking why am I moving away from San Francisco to Seattle?

Well, last week i took a road trip to Whistler and went boarding for a week. My short little vacation helped me realized I've never been challenged before. I mean I live in my parents basement still. I finished school, have a stable GF, and have job security up the @ss. Things are getting too comfortable for me. So going out on my own is my only recourse. Seattle reminds me of San Francisco but 20 years younger. Its a good place to start a new adventure.

SO... if anyone is from the area, i would greatly appreciate any suggestions.

Well, I live in redmond, I know there are a bunch of houses on the eastside (east of the lake) um, As far as the job market,I have no idea about what jobs are out there for a marketing major, but I'm sure there are some... sorry I couldn't help you more. I do know that the houseing close to seattle, and in seattle is very expensive, though the farther you get away, the cheaper it is. One last thing, traffic can really suck up here... then again it probably ins't that great down in SF....

thanks ren
yeah i have checked out some of the prices of rent up there
its a little less expensive compared to SF. I did have the fortunate chance to drive thru the morning commute and it did remind me alot of home. Its not a whole lot different compared to here.
BUT whistler is a whole lot closer.

thanks again ren

tru DAT, we'd show ya around, there's actually lots of housing up here, though... not a lot of it is in "Prime" locations, so you'd end up having a little longer commute, but HEY civics get great gas milage....

that would be pretty cool. Thanks. Im still waiting to hear from a recruiter about this position. If i get far enough, i will end up flying up.

i have some sort of a plan about living up there. Im pretty sure im leaning towards the roomate plan if my gf doesnt go move with me. I know the job market up there isnt that great now and the city is pretty dense, how are the grad schools and residential parking up there? i got rid of my 89 civic hb and took up a truck. Yeah its a guzzler but it sure saves me from putting chains on in the snow.
