Well the Spindle Nut was frozen to the tune of 1 broken breaker bar, 2 broken ratchets and another abused breaker bar (10 degree twist). The other side came off with a ratcheting 2' long 1/2 drive craftsman. Drivers side busted that puppy in no time. Of coarse I was using a pipe and an extender for maximum torque. Even used some heat, but not to serious.

So I eventually had the idea to drill holes into the nut and chisel the P.I.T.A. off. I did it with a cordless drill with partially charged batteries. So if you own a drill with a cord on it even easier. Not even 10 minutes drilling. I used 1\8", 5\32", and 3\16" drill bits.

Worked slicker than snot. Just put some masking tape around the drill bit to let you know when you have gone far enough... Use the new nut to set the depth of drilling.
