D15Z1 swap troubles..help!

alright so heres the story, bought a z1 that a guy swapped out for a y8 in his vx, said it ran good and everything. miles unknown because he said this engine was swapped into his vx. anyways picked up motor and tranny for 400 and took it home. it sat for about a month at my house while i waited for time off from work to do the swap.

so i finally got time. The car is a 93 DX 4dr that had the original d15b7 with 221K. me and a buddy got it all hooked up. i studied the z1 alot before choosing it, i really liked the uniqueness of the vtec-e. i really wanted it to operate at its full potential so i got everything a factory x in 93 would have had, short of the header mounted cat. i cleared all my codes for my egr box and wideband o2, triple checked all my wiring to the ecu and everything looks good and continuity checks out. fired like a champ on the first start (after tightening my fuel line nut to make it stop spraying) ran strong (except a suuuuper noisy alt belt that stops making noise when i rev it past 4k or so) after clearing up the codes, but now is where the trouble starts. i have a cel code 22 that wont go away, vtec pressure switch. i replaced the switch, double check my wiring to the ecu which is good. still throws the code, vtec will not engage. today i pulled the vtec assembly and it was nice and clean to my surprise.
so i drove the car for 3 days or so until i had a dizzy problem, replaced it to clear my tdc sensor code yet it would not start. just crank crank crank and not fire. pulled the vc and timing cover, timing was good, re assembled but the battery was dead (probably from cranking it so much), jumped it with my buddys accord and started up like a champion. that was yesterday. ran strong all day, except when it warms i get the dreaded bouncing idle, from about 950-1200.

this car is my DD. today i was about to leave for work and it started right up. drove to work no problem. got off at 10pm and it wouldnt start. same sound as before when it would just crank all day. it would fire eventually and the alt belt would squeal and then it would stall out after 6 seconds. then crank for about 10 tries with the key then fire again, then stall again after 6 seconds. any time i gave it gas it would just bog and stall out. finally got it running, drove it home carefully, stalled out about 4 times while moving down the highway but each time id get it back up. i pulled into my driveway and it stalled one last time, refusing to start anymore. i disconnected the egr wires but that did nothing, i thought the exhaust gas may have something to do with it.

so with no vtec-e, i am running 12 valves all the time. i am at a loss. i dont think the vtec is related to the firing issue. all hoses are hooked up, except for the hose coming off of the TB, i do not know where to put it. also i was surprised to see that the coolant line on top of the intake manifold (upside down L shaped hose) goes to a tube that connects to the intake tube. any z1 guys have any thoughts? anyone have any ideas? im lost, on both the firing issue AND the vtec. the vtec is really bugging me...bad ecu? or would a bad solenoid throw a code for the pressure switch?
thanks for any help!
