This is my first Civic, also my first car. I don't want to do anything overly complicated, (I'm also a first year automotive student!), I just wanted to know which engine(s) can be swapped directly into the 1990 civic hb, (manual trans).

just a note of advice... In the end, swapping engines require you to to do stuff in your own or you will never get past some snags. Researching is also included, before asking (as shown above - the info is out there, just a clkick and typing on search option).

Asking before searching is the first sign that you might not be capable of completing the project.
