b16 swap 94 civic coupe
i have a 94 civic ex coupe with a 170k miles on the current engine and i have a 16b im going to try and drop into it out of a 2000 si the current is a vtec along with the 16b i was wondering if anyone has tried this or something similar and can tell me what i'm getting into. i think everything will fit up i got the engine mounts that will fit it the only thing i'm worried about is the harness I've looked and seen that most people modify the old harness to match the new engine meaning the clips and plugs that don't fit they splice off the harness for the new engine and back onto the old harness so it matches the new engine. i have a shrink gun for wires so i think i can do i would like some opinions and ideas on ways to do the harness and the engine swap in all and help is appreciated and will be taken into consideration.
thanks

Re: b16 swap 94 civic coupe
I would get the wiring diagrams for both the motor and the chassis, if you can't find them online you might need to buy a service manual for the motor and chassis. Using the wiring diagrams label each of the individual wires with their function, then just cut them and solder them to their mates.
If you search enough you might be able to find a harness adapters, that would be straight plug and play, but IMO they're a waste of money.
