Type-R Build project

Here is my current project. any advice on things that i should upgrade would be cool. its my first car that i started to really upgrade. first turbo car as well.

Here is everything that has been done and whats gonna be done in the near future.

Current Mods:

B18C (JDM Type-r) Block
GSR Tranny
B16 Head
Skunk2 springs and retainers
Pro Comp Pistons
Forged crank
Forged Rods
Stage 4 Clutch
stock Flywheel
Golden Eagle Vacuum Block
Walboro 255 Fuel Pump
1000CC injectors
AEM fuel Rail
Hondata S200
Garret .70 A/R Cold side, Turbonetics Hot side.
Boost set to 17PSI currently
OBXRacing Wastegate
Moroso Oil Pan
3"exhaust turbo back
Ksport Camber kit (front and rear)
KYB struts and springs fully adjustable (will be replaced)

I am replacing the B16A head that is on the car now with a fully built type-R head.

Type-R VTEC head
-full port job
-Supertech Dual Valve Springs
-Supertech Titanium Retainers
-Supertech Valves stock size (intake and exhaust)
-Valve job that sinks the valves into the head further up and essentially makes them act like over sized valves without the worry of valve or piston clearancing issues.

so after that is all said and done i will be doing the following.

-New clutch
-new axels
-upgrade to hondata S300
-Fuel Cell
-Precision Turbo (not sure what size)

she getting closer to being dyno'd and brought to the track

Re: Type-R Build project

When you do get the head on, put some timing belt covers on it... keep stuff outta there. I hope your not creating more power than your current head can handle. If you are watch out. Make sure your flywheel and clutch are upgraded appropriately too. Your making a TON of power here the last thing you need is a clutch failure.

Re: Type-R Build project

Just caught your build on a google search and thought I'd say whats up. This looks similar to my build plans but mine will be a little more extensive. I did have a few questions about yours though.. what cam are you using/will be using? Is your block sleeved at all? Bored at all? any reason you're moving to supertech internals in the head over skunk? decided on which axles? Roughly what size compressor are you looking at (gt30r/gt35r, etc..) And last but not least.., any reason you're switching to an ITR head instead of doing the head job on the B16 head you have? And I agree with tbohar.. That stock flywheel on a stage 4 clutch was the first thing that jumped out at me when i was looking at your list of mods.
