fog lights melted, anybody else?
fog lights melted, anybody else?
I bought a set of Spyder Auto fog lights for my 93 civic and after less than a week of use, the wiring harness melted from the battery to the first light. I'm getting a refund for the lights, but I'd like to replace them because now I have holes in my bumper where the fog lights were supposed to be. Has this happened to anyone else or anyone heard of this happening?

Re: fog lights melted, anybody else?
best bet is make your own harness. much simpler, safer, and more effective. they use cheap components and thin wires in those aftermarket fogs. or if you dont want to bother getting separate wires, relay, fuse, etc most auto stores sell a wiring kit in the fog light section with everything you need together. the blazer brand harness is really good and has a wire diagram on the back to show you how it all connects to the bulbs. oreilly auto has it for sure.
