Hello,

New to the forums here. My question is this. I have a 1995 Civic LX that is only showing 12.2 V at idle and 12.5 at 3500 rpm. Its a new battery and the third new alternator in the past 2 months. Could I have a problem in the wire harness? If so can I jump around the harness? What wires (color) should I be looking at to send and return current to the alternator? I did do a search on here and some say that pulling the positive battery terminal could cause damage while the car is running and others say its a way to see if the alternator is working. Could this also be a computer problem?? I am at my wits end with this and cannot seem to solve this problem! This is my day to day run around car so no modifications have been made as far as I know its all stock.

Any HELP would very greatly appreciated!!!!

First I would check in the fuse box for blown fuses if any then replace then find which one is your ignition and alternator and try a different one. I had the same thing happen luckily mine was only a fuse. If its still messed up then check out ur wire harnes good luck.
