turn signals acting as brake [solved] - led without resistor
I just got a 95 LX, the previous owner "stripped it for racing" but they must have been a crackhead. Its a mess. They pulled everything. Everything. including the headlights. the front end is misshapen and can no longer hold oem style headlights
I attached some basic autozone leds to the turnsignal wires and these were working good for a while. Then the cords got jerked, both at once, they were caught on the hood and I didnt notice. now when I flip the turn signal switch either direction both sides flash and when I hit the brakes both sides act as brake lights and stay steadily lit.
I've searched for a short conection but cant even find where the wires come together.
Anything helps, even just a high quality diagram of the light wires.

Leds in turn signals causes weird issues. Did you use resistors? Turn signal leds need them to not do weird things
I Did not use resistors. It's there a go to bulb type or something?
I bought it cause, 600 for a solid chassis and engine was the best deal around. I just got done covering a school bus so when I saw a gutted vehicle it looked like a blank canvas. I haven't given up on it yet, but GAWD DAYUM. And it's my first car.

They gutted the car for racing, so they had no intention on bringing it as a street worthy car. It is expected to have issues if the buyer wanted a street car... Stay away from those in the future, requires a lot of work, time, money and skills to bring a car like that back to street worthy.

Yeah, so I've realized. Wouldn't recommend. But now everything is custom. LoL. Custom audio, custom interior, custom headlights, even custom blinkers.
