95 Civic 5spd not starting.
I have a 95 Civic Sedan DX D15B7 engine that won’t turn over. it sounds like it wants to start and then just dies. i have replaced distributor, fuel filter, fuel pump, spark plugs, spark plug wires. i’m absolutely lost at this point.
Re: 95 Civic 5spd not starting.
no tbh i don’t know how to. after replacing distributor it started but would hesitate like it wasn’t getting gas to the motor. so i replaced the filter and pump and still nothing. now it won’t even turn over and let me gas it or anything.
Re: 95 Civic 5spd not starting.
So there's no cranking at all after changing fuel pump/filter?
Timing sounds plausible here, but check a few things before getting to that point.
Engines need 5 things to run: air, fuel, spark, compression, and timing. Safe to assume that spark and compression is okay. Is the fuel pump priming when you turn the key? Is the intake getting vacuum? (Remove intake and feel for suction. See if it'll run on starter fluid if there is suction).
If it runs on starter fluid, it's still a fueling issue.

this is currently what it does. it has ran on starter fluid before but obviously not for long. which is why i replaced the pump and filter. i will have to find the starter fluid again to try it so i’ll have a look. fuel is priming when i turn the key i can hear the pump turn on. there is pressure at the engine to my knowledge.
there is also fuel pressure at the intake

Re: 95 Civic 5spd not starting.
Did you mark the distributer and put the new back in the same spot? You could have thrown off the timing when replacing that. You can adjust timing by turning the dist. CW or CCW
