Hi Guys, New to forum. Have a 1981 civic. When I start it at high Idle it Has no problems. When Accelerating it Accelerates Powerful and Smooth. The problem is when I get to the Stop light. I push brakes and it dies at the light. Starts right back up after that. I have not messed with Carb. Only thing I have done is change out spark plugs and air filter. Still doing the same thing.

Probably need to mess with the carb, maybe a circuit is clogged up. Unfortunately I've never owned a carbureted vehicle so I can't say more beyond that. If you're no familiar with carbs try to find someone that is to give you a hand

The carb probably needs adjusting. Last time I did that was on my boat. There are needle valves that get clogged and need to be cleaned and adjusted. You can read general carb guides as they all operate with the same basic principals but they have a lot of pieces.
It could be vacuum related also. My 88 Accord had a carb but It never needed anything while I owned it. It did have this mystery vacuum box on it that even the Honda techs didn't touch. Had 290k miles on it when I drove it the junk yard.
