Hey guys, I've got a '95 Civic LX with about 137k miles. Yes only 137k original miles! My girl friend bought it brand new 24 yrs ago and has been the only owner and has taken great care of it. Everything works, its a beautiful car! One day she was just driving down the road and it dies just like that. the place I took it to, thought it was a bad distributor, they said they went through two of them because the "blew?" Then they diagnosed that it had a bad ECU module (Computer) they pulled it to show me and I could see a capacitor that had some scorching. Because the car is a '95 he says that they cant hook it up to their diagnostics to get a code. The car is a '95 so the computer has been very difficult to find. They ordered one of ebay and the car ran with the check engine light so the mechanic says its flawed or not the very specific one they need. After 7 weeks sitting in their back lot, they've given up. They tried to return the 'bad' ECU they ordered from ebay and are having problems getting it returned so they are not wanting to invest anymore into it.

Looking for a friend to point me in the right direction to a reliable parts seller where I can find a 1995 Civic LX Auto ECU module. or any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

P.S. I'm looking for a good older Honda mechanic in the greater Dallas area for a second opinion.
