Exclamation Questions About the d15b SOHC VTEC

Hey guys, im brand new in this forum, and i was wondering and had a few questions that i need help on.

I might buy this 94 Civic. The kid is saying the engine is knocking but he dont know to much about it. All he knows is the engine is as listed above.

Now if i buy this i noticed online i cant find a rebuild kit for this engine. What engines will bolt up to this transmission, however i dont know the model number exactly for the transmission.

Re: Questions About the d15b SOHC VTEC

There are many engines that will likely be compatible with the d15b series, but it depends on how much work you are willing to put into the swap.

Another thing to keep in mind is if it is an auto trans vs a manual trans. I'm guessing it's an auto, which would have a different flywheel.

In many cases you will need a new ecu.

I know this doesn't solve your problem, but if you keep this in mind. I think your best bet is to see what engines you can find from d-series and then type in those engines into google using the word swap.

Ex: d15b_ swap d16a_
