1995 EX Bogging issue.
1995 EX Bogging issue.
Hello all,
I need a little help. I have a 95 Civic EX with D16z6 w/5 speed. I bought this car in June and ran across a little problem. Every once in a while it would bog down. I would have to feather, release or hammer the gas to get it to clear out. Well since it's getting cold this problem has got a lot worse. Everytime I start the car. It does matter where I am, how long i ran or didnt run it. It will last everywhere from 30 seconds to 15 miles at any speed or rpm. It bogs out like i'm over choking it, the best way i have found to clear it is run it to high speeds and let off the gas completely. Then sometimes it's clears up and runs perfectly. But sometimes it throw's a code but the code it never there after i shut it down. Never!! I drive it 60 mile's one way 5 days a week. This little thing is a great car besides this issue. I have put all new seals, complete tune up, new fuel filter. Before I put the filter on it, it was a lot worse and take more effort to clear her out. I dont have any starting or running problems out of the car. The only electrical issue i have is the speed liked dancing for me awhile back. and the radio works when it wants too. But its a old JVC. I had a fuel people standing behind it one day and they said the exhaust smelt like cherries. I checked with the place I get fuel from and they don't have scented fuel. So weird yes but I dont have a no lose of coolant so IDK. Another guy had same problem. But he scraped the car out. So any help with this would be appreciated. Thank You
