Please help! new guy here washed engine check engine light came on
I bought a 2000 civic hx 125000 miles on it ran clean after i got an oil change, drove really good then this morning i washed the engine out with simple green and water and no the check engine light is on and the engine is jumpy and shakey when i press gas i like shakes idk what to do im still learning about cars 17 years old please help! thanks

you might have shorted a sensor if you started it up without having let everything dry. You might ask a neighbor or friend for a scan tool becouse OBDII will tell you pretty much what is wrong. The connector is probably under the dash somewhere.
