Won't start just a simple click...starter issues?

Hi all I need help,

I have a 94 DX that won't start.

I took it to get the engine washed and next day after that it did not want to start. All I get is a simple click by the starter and that's it.

Fuel pump works, battery tested and charged, I did run a wire from battery to selenoide's terminal and it did start with no problems, visual test on the main relay looks ok.

No idea what else can I do, please help...........

That tells me the starter is ok, and the big battery cable to the starter is ok. Your problem is a lack of B+ between the ignition switch (crank signal) and the small terminal on the starter.

There is the battery, ignition switch, the safety, and starter.
(The safety could be the trans PRNDL switch, or the clutch switch and relay on a manual trans.)
And up to 7 connections in that one wire.
One to look at is on the drivers fender--the set of connectors that couple the engine harness to the body harness: 2 wire connector: blk/wht wire.

Your best friends may be a test light, a wiring diagram, and some understanding of the system.

OR a real shop that can diagnose.
You can make it start, drive it to one.
