Angry Lack of Power after warmed up

Just took this car on a trade and am starting to find all the little bugs. 1.6vtech 5spd runs great at first, but after about 15 minutes i start to loose power coming from a stop. From idle to about 2k it spits and sputters. I have started with a few basics, some fuel cleaner, just because. It almost seemed like the coil was having some heat problems so I replaced that this morning, spent the rest of the evening trying to nail down some plugs, everyone said that they had them but really didnt!!!!! Finally got some cooper ngk to put in the morning. while I was waiting in line I was talking to someone about this and they mentioned that the IAC might be the problem. Just about the end of my knowledge and dont really want to drop it off and get raped at the shop......any ideas?

Check for codes: Find the rubbery bright green box thingy taped to a wiring bundle way up behind the glove box. Rip it off the tape and pull it down so you can access it better. Remove the 2-wire plug, and jump it with a paperclip or a length of wire. Turn the key to the ON position and count how many times the check engine light blinks- that's your trouble code. (If it stays on steady then you have no codes and this will be a little more difficult to diagnose.) Does it ever stall?

will check for codes in the morning and let you know the results. Nope never dies out on me. It will sit and idle fine all the time. Its just when you try to go after coming to a stop, no matter how much clutch i keep in it

checked for codes this morning and the light stayed solid. Threw the new plugs in and everything seems to be running smoothly now........really hope that was the issue and not the IAC

Re: Lack of Power after warmed up

take the distributor off where the spark plug wires connect. the little prongs in there are corroded. my civic did the exact same thing, it like bogs out after the cars warmed up..
