Question 2004 Honda Civic EX 1.7 AC goes warm

Can I just buy a can of 134a and top it up or does this require a prof mechanic?

The clutch engages but it blows warm after a while.

Thanks

Re: 2004 Honda Civic EX 1.7 AC goes warm

Does the AC work well at first, then get warm after it's been running a while?

Or does it never get cold in the first place?

Once it gets warm, is the clutch still engaged or did it turn off?

How long does it cool well?
10 seconds? 10 minutes?

And what about an answer for this:

it cools for about 10 minutes then goes warm, I popped the hood and yes the clutch was engaging . So I have some 134a to recharge the AC, I saw on YouTube and it seems pretty straight forward. Is there anything I need to know specific to a 7th gen civic before I go ahead.

Thanks
