I have a 92 civic sedan
It starts at random times.

Sometime the fuel pump will turn of sometimes it wont.
I've gotten 3 main relays for it and it doesn't change anything.

Sometime when it starts it will run for a short period of time and die.
Then i cant get it started again.

Sprayed starting fluid in the intake. sputters some.. plugged new fuel pump in and the new one doesn't do a thing. so i know its not the fuel pump or main relay.

I've cleaned off all the grounds, thermostat housing, battery to strut tower, and valve cover to core support.

Fuel pump ground is cleaned as well.

I've changed fuel filter. Still not the problem.

Spark plug wires aren't getting spark but i know they aren't completely bad cause the car will start sometimes.

I wanna say its some kind of electrical issue.. All fuses are good.

The car will Crank EVERY time but not start.

Other than the main relay and fuel pump what will interfere with the fuel pump not kicking on? HELP PLEASE!

My 1992 LX recently had trouble with starting and dying problems. I believe two things were to blame. The distributor and the fuel pump. It improved after a warranty replacement of the distributor, but did not get better until replacing the fuel pump. Although not my problem, I am also aware of faulty solder connections on the relay, but replaced that.
