Rep Power: 0 Purchasing 95 Civic DX
Hi, I'm new to Honda Civic and am going to look at a 95 DX. Are there consistent significant problems with this make/model I should be looking for with engine/trans/cooling/other that I should be aware of and look for ?

Look at how many miles are on the car in relation to any mechanical work done on it in the past. 200,000 miles and never had a head gasket changed? Guess who might be changing a head gasket soon? Or even more, trying to find a new engine because of blown rings or scrapped bearings? If you buy it, that's you. Not trying to scare you, it's just what happened to me, and I like the car enough and I'm too stubborn to admit defeat.
Best of luck!

I just recently bought a 95 civic dx as well. it runs very strong and the temp stays very cool. it was bought with aftermarket product on it and I am very happy. I believe you will be too!
