Timing Belt Keeps Sliding Off The Cam (Need Help!)
Timing Belt Keeps Sliding Off The Cam (Need Help!)
Alright heres the thing Every time I start my car it makes a noise. Like the belt is wet which it is not and the timing belt slides off the cam, water pump, tensioner pulley. I have replaced everything Timing Belt, Water pump, Tensioner Pulley. I've tighten it and I have loosened it. Nothing I have done has worked. On the bright side after I got the new Tensioner Pulley it did seem to not slide off as much.
Re: Timing Belt Keeps Sliding Off The Cam (Need Help!)
I've had this happen before. The tensioner bolt was bent causing the tensioner to rotate off center. Apparently I had either over-torqued it or was too far off plane and it bent while torquing.

I just saw the other post. Quit creating additional threads, especially since your question was already answered in the other thread- pulley alignment.
