Rep Power: 0 92 civic , harmonic balancer bolt left or right threaded?
I can recall using the started in the past to loosen these bolts on the harmonic ballancer. Mabey I am wrong? Starter turns the crank counter clockwise so the bolt is held on by a breaker bar and the handle is resting on the left side of the lower control arm. So, is this a regular righty tighty bolt or lefty tighty bolt? One click of the starter did not loosen this bolt.
What is the torqe on these bolts anyway? Used a prybar on ring gear, then use jack to lift up on 1/2 breaker bar. Still could not loosen it.
May have to buy/rent a electric impact gun perferably IR or Snap on. BTW, this is not the Harmonic ballancer that requires the 50 mm hexagon lever stocket.
