1994 DX Will Not Start
1994 DX Will Not Start
I decided to get my honda running after its been sitting for a couple years, it ran fine then, so I put air in the tires and tried to charge the battery, but it wouldn't hold a charge or even jump start, so I got a new battery and I installed it backwards.
OK, Im an idiot...
So I blew the battery fuse, fixed it and the car wouldn't start, so I've been reading and working on it for the past 3 days without luck, so I am now begging for help...
Here is what I got:
All fuses look good, Clean Diagnostic, got all 3 clicks on the main relay, gas is pumping, spark to all cylinders.
It isn't completely dead, it sounds very much like its flooded, however nothing worked after all the flooding troubleshooting either.
However during the spark check I noticed the #2 cylinder was the only one firing, it cranks without firing without the #2 spark cable connected, reversely I can keep only the #2 cylinder connected and it sounds the same as if all were connected.
I have changed the spark plugs & the plug wires, still only the #2 cylinder is firing.
Please help, I'm not sure what would cause this or what to try next.
Thank you.
Not sure if this means anything I also notice a funny humm from the fuel pump area when the key is in the #2 position about 25% of the time.
Also I was getting a code 3 until I reset, now when I do the jumper I get no codes, the engine light just remains lit, what does that mean?

Re: 1994 DX Will Not Start
Um, yes I replaced the right fuse.
Dizzy is fine, full spark to all.
Compression test is 200 all cylinders
fuel pressure is 38
Now I am getting an error code 19, still no start.

Re: 1994 DX Will Not Start
I shot a quick spray of starting fluid into the air filter and it started right up.
Now the transmission lock is sticking and its giving me an error code of 14, but at least its running!
