91 Civic Si Hatchback Won't Start, Please Advise
My 1991 Honda Civic Si Hatchback will not start up. It has been sitting for about a week and a half and before that has been running beautifully and has always started up no problem. The battery is fine and it turns over and sometimes sounds like its going to start then just doesn't.
About a year ago I had the same exact problem after it sitting for two months and tried to jump it with jumper cables and charge the battery but that did not work. Luckily I was on a steep hill and just jump started it by rolling down the hill, however now I am no where near a hill and cannot get it going fast enough.
When this happened the first time and it started after jumping it, black stuff came out the exhaust then it ran perfectly. This makes me believe it has something to do with the fuel getting gunky or old from sitting, but I would not expect this to happen again after only sitting for a week and a half.
Does anyone have any ideas for what I can do without having to get it rolling super fast or what might be going on?
Thanks,
-Bryan
