Hey, Im new to these forums, and to the whole driving world, and the wonderful world of hondas. Im currently saving up a huge wad of cash to buy myself a used civic, but i have no idea which to buy. There are a few out there, but im wonder what kind of model would be the best for someone that just wants to fool around with it, start adding parts and customizing. Im thinking an 89 CRX or something like that, Any ideas? My price range is about 0-1500 ... Not much.

well...your on a good start if you wanna mess around seeing as the CRX is very lightweight, and cheap to mod.

Good luck in your search. I had a 1988 CRX SI. It was a great car - very dependable, could park in all of the smallest spaces, and could carry anything. I think with a budget of $1500, you should be able to find something. Here is a resource I started recently to help track the actual sale prices of cars. I've got about 15 CRX prices in it - this should give you a good idea of what CRXs are selling for.
