that seems a bit high, my non-vtec d17 runs at about 3400-3500 at 80mph. i know the EXs with vtec have slightly different gearing, so that may be it, i don't really know.

yea im at 3100 to 3300 with just a SRI, i only get up to like 3800/3900 when im close to 100. lol i made a vid of it too... all i gotta do is find it *starts searchin*
EX's are the only ones that have different gear ratios. And I think it's only 5th that's different.
Performance mods have NOTHING to do with specific revolutions. I could be wrong, but most Short-Ram Intakes I'm familar with DON'T modify the transmission.
Way to look like a noob.

i wasn't saying my SRI caused me to have low RPM's but i was just stating that i was not 100% stock. Way to repeat what was stated in the post above you... :/
Yeah, standard drive ratios are somewhat shorter, but OD is a tad longer. Not by much, though. These cars don't hardly have the power to reach 140, so it's kind of a moot point.
Oh, and LT2004ever, he posed a question. I answered it. That's not restating. Take a man-pill and get over it.

Good for you. Please stop bumping old threads that have no need to be posted in again. Also, if you check the thread starter's profile, he has an 02 ex, so your 93 lx with a completely different engine (early d16, i think) and tranny has little bearing on this conversation. Not trying to be mean, just to educate.
This, btw, is exactly what we all knew was going to happen. People with a completely different car posting irrelevant crap in threads about 7th gens.
