240,000 work, timing belt/water pump
240,000 work, timing belt/water pump
I just hit 240,000 on my 97 civic dx 4DR, so was thinking I should get the timing belt and water pump done. I also know my distributor cap needs to be replaced (gets condensation after it rains, has to dry out to start), and will replace my wires too. Distributor cap/wires I can change myself, but thinking I will have a pro do the timing belt and water pump. Anything else I should be changing?
hondapartsunlimited.com is where I was looking, and the prices are:

Also, how much should I expect to spend in labor for timing belt/water pump?

Re: 240,000 work, timing belt/water pump
Those prices are excellent. Not totally sure what the labor is worth but I don't think it would be more than 400 dollars. That's aiming high. Here in Canada probably 600.
