LED/HID headlights?
LED/HID headlights?
Got a 2000 Honda Civic EX, I know the headlight housing was built for halogens, but would I be able to use LED or HID's without blinding others? I'm wanting different lights due to the color & brightness. Just wondering if anyone knows what and what doesn't work.

morimoto HID retrofit. Helped my buddy do his some years back and it took us all of like 6 hours. That includes taking the headlights out, bringing them inside, tearing them apart, and reinstalling everything. Obviously had to wait until night time to aim, but really easy retrofit on OEM H4 headlights.

$186 if you get the high beam splitter (easy splice so your high beam drops the shield), $175 without, 10% off with coupon code "labordaytrs"

Re: LED/HID headlights?
LEDs in halogen housing alone did not work out for me. Too much glare to oncoming drivers and DRL does not work and won't pass inspection since it uses the high beam circuit.
You can tell the aftermarket LED kits on vehicles - and with my aging eyes at night it's glare city.
