D16y5 with cvt auto in 98 lx

I'm having some wiring issues with the y5 harness plugging up to the lx dash side harness under hood. I can't plug in the cvt ecu cause off this since the lx don't have the wiring for it. Is there a jumper harness I can get to make my lx dash harness work and be able to plug up the cvt ecu without using the 1997 hx dash harness I have access too?

I have the whole hx 1997 civic.

Did the swap already just ran into this wiring issue.

Can some one point me in the right direction in using what I have without replacing harnesses or trannys. I want the cvt tranny.

I don't see a jumper harness for the transmission ecu only the main engine ecu. This is on driver side kick panel side

Well David at Rywire.com said to just use the y7 engine harness and buy adaptors for what's not there that I need on the y5. He said that he would make me a ecu jumper and a TCU jumper. I will need to wire up my own vtec-e since they don't make adaptors for that. I know I might have to adapt one of the transmission sensors since the y7 tranny don't have it. So I might just do this instead of use the dash harness from the HX. Just to much work.

Good luck!

Rywire knows what they are doing (unfortunately, for you), so I would follow their advice

I just swapped over HX main harness instead cause Rywire was going to have to make me a new harness and I was going to have to do some rewiring also and some stuff might have not worked right. The HX harness is plugging up nicely to the lx.

In the end my car will be an HX/lx hybrid and run like factory.

I ran out of money for this project and can't afford $600+ for a new harness and it maybe not work right with the CVT transmisson and vtec-e

Plus it wasn't all that bad removing the dashes from each car plus main and dash harness.

Here is my progress of my car if interested in loads of pictures.
