LSD vs. open dif. HELP

LSD vs. open dif. HELP
I'm planning on swapping the d16y8 in my 97 coupe for a b18c1. I've found one Integra GSR engine/transmission for 2500 but i'm not sure if the transmision comes with an LSD. I've found another engine setup, same thing but it does come with an LSD. it's 3850. So I had several questions.
- Is there anywhere I can find a less expensive engine/tranny. combo? I found these on hmotors.com and osakajdmmotors.com
- What is the difrence between an open dif. and an LSD?
- Is there any significant preformance diference between an open dif. and an LSD?
