so i'm looking to swap a k series into my 00 civic LX. there are so many different things i need to learn about this and the internet has done nothing so far to help me learn much. from working on other cars, i understand that i not only need the engine but all the other respective parts (duh). but i also need to up the engine mounts. i saw the other day on innovative mounts that they make k series to ek frame swap mounts.

now first question,

1 my car says ej6, it says ek on the website, some forums have said they are the same in the engine compartment, and some dont say anything. is it the same?

2 when i started reading about the mounts, i was confused by this. It said the mounts fit both ek&eg frames, then it said (with an eg crossmember) now i know what a crossmember is. but i know not what it was tellling me. do i need to put an eg crossmember on my ej6? or is that in refrence to the eg frame.

3 if i do need to update my crossmember, what is a good choice for that? and any recomendations on starting that. will OEM, work? should i get aftermaket?

this part is new to me, so i feel like a dummy when it comes to swapping engines. feel free to tell me the obvious. i will not take offense.
