Y7 tranny with y8 motor?

Y7 tranny with y8 motor?
Hi. I'm new to the whole tuner thing so any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a 98' civic ex 5 speed with the d16y7 motor in it. I am goin to put the d16y8 motor in. my question is can I use the y7 tranny with the y8 motor as long as I get the harness an ecu for the y8 ? If I do tht will tht work?
